As a sound designer and composer I worked on many projects
Creative Sound Design and Foley
At this project I have developed clever and creative foley ideas, good skills of audio recording, editing and also good knowledge of sound design.
How the sound was made
This is the same video as above but shows how these sounds were made using creative ideas.
Sound For Computer Game
Sound production for the game called: ‘Uncharted 4 ; A Thief’s End.’ In my project I have used the diegetic and non-diegetic sounds. I have used sounds like: grunts, lots of different gunshots, ambience ( birds, wind, market crowd, fan, a piece of music), a few different footsteps recorded in different settings, explosions, crushes, punches, car engines, falling down, breaking glass, loading of guns, and much more. To summarise I have used over 70 different sounds in total. watch more →
Sound For Trailer Movie
This movie has a slightly eerie atmosphere so I have composed the music to reflect this atmosphere. The trailer includes the music and the foley sounds. The music is non diegetic and the foley sounds are diegetic, because we can hear the sound with the action on the screen. In the majority of good trailers the tension of the sound increases, so I have done the same in my trailer. I allowed myself to use the crescendo structure. It is a progressive layer of instruments. It means that we hear the melody first, then drums, and in the end lots of delays and modulations.
Sound Design for Animation
Garuda; A Garuda is a creature in Ancient Indian & Tibetan cultures which is half man and half bird. The word derives etymologically from the Sanskrit language. This soundtrack piece has opened new creative doors and horizons for me! A new hobby which I am very passionate about; mixing audio and visuals together. As the theme of this piece is both mythological and philosophical I have tried my best to compose a piece which carries intrigue, mysticism and the overall atmosphere and cultures of the East from which it derives.
Sound Design/Foley/Music ( Ice age)
Sound Design and Foley recording for the for the well known and popular cartoon called Iceage. At this project I have learned even more about making, recording and editing sound for cartoons and animations. In the project I have used a multitude of sounds from a library of sounds and foley sounds.
I have used the diegetic and non-diegetic sounds. I have used sounds like: grunts, ambiences ( winter storm, cave ambience, spaceship), footsteps, foley (sniffing, footsteps, melting ice, scratching, grunts etc.), falling down, and much more. To summarise I have used over 60 different sounds in total. Also I have used lots of effects like : The EQ Channel, reverb (space designer), automations, faders, noise gate, pitch shifter, vocal transformer, direction mixer, autofilter, compressor, gain, panorama, volume. etc.
3 CONTRASTING ACOUSTIC ENVIRONMENTS
The project present different and contrasting acoustic environments. The purpose of the project was to show how the sound is changed in different environments, the background (ambience) is different and also the depth of sound and area where the sounds appear (echo).
